Fitting & support

Simple does not mean careless.

EASYFIX avoids drilling, but surface preparation, adhesive quantity, alignment and curing still matter. Read the complete vehicle-specific instructions before starting.

Important: Installation is permanent once bonded. Use only an EASYFIX-approved automotive bonding adhesive and follow the supplied product instructions.

Common questions

EASYFIX FAQ

Do EASYFIX shields require drilling?

No. EASYFIX external shields use an adhesive gasket and approved curable automotive adhesive, so no holes are drilled in the vehicle bodywork.

Can a shield cover existing break-in damage?

Yes, where the selected shield fully covers the damage and has sufficient sound panel area around it for bonding. High spots must be corrected and exposed metal treated before installation.

Is the adhesive included?

Adhesive is not necessarily included as standard. Check the product option and select the approved adhesive where required.

Can I drive immediately after fitting?

Where possible, wait 48 hours. If the vehicle must be used sooner, the fitting guidance advises staying below 30 mph and avoiding washing or pressure washing near the shield during the initial 48 hours.

Does an EASYFIX shield guarantee my van cannot be broken into?

No security product can guarantee that. EASYFIX provides an additional visible layer of security and can form a practical repair over a vulnerable or damaged area.
